Why Should I Bother?
Good question! Why bother with skin care? Well, as skin takes
damage from sun, pollutants, chemicals and aging it loses its
ability to protect us so well, it also loses its looks! Also our
skin is the largest organ in our body, don't forget that skin
(epithelial tissue) extends not just over the outside of our
body's but lines our digestive tract and lungs as well.
As we age skin loses its ability to stretch. This is due to
changes in the elastin and collagen. Skin also becomes drier and
loses the fat underneath, this makes it sag and wrinkle. Dry
skin is also easier to tear and cut so is more prone to injury.
A little daily care can help keep your skin looking good,
feeling good and protecting you better for longer.
Looking After Your Skin
It is simple to keep your skin in great shape. You want to
make sure it is clean and moisturised. To keep it clean
don't use soap! Use our Aloe Scrub to remove all traces of
dirt or make up, alternatively wash with our Aloe Liquid
Soap.
Use a moisturiser to keep your skin moist and supple, apply
gently stroking upwards as you do. Take care to avoid the
eye area.
Exfoliate weekly to remove dead skin and expose fresh new
layers. Then moisturise to keep this pliant, soft, healthy
and looking great.
